🐝 ODP Waiver Guide — Pennsylvania

Your loved one may qualify for free home care — and you get to choose who provides it.

Pennsylvania's ODP waivers cover full home care for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and developmental disabilities. No Medicare. No Maximus. No financial scrutiny. Just the care your family deserves — paid for by the state.

You Pick Your Provider

This is NOT Medicare. This is different — and better.

Most families only know about Medicare or Community HealthChoices — the programs that involve financial reviews through agencies like Maximus. ODP waivers are a completely separate funding stream, designed specifically for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The biggest difference? Federal law guarantees you free choice of provider. You don't have to stay with who you were assigned. You can switch to Bee Infinite — today.

👶
Young Children (Under 9)

Children under 9 with a developmental disability likely to result in an intellectual disability or autism diagnosis.

🏥
Medically Complex Youth

Children and young adults under 22 with a developmental disability caused by a medically complex condition.

📋
Already on a Waiver

If your loved one is already receiving ODP waiver services, they can switch to Bee Infinite — it is their right.

On the Waiting List

Waivers have waiting lists — but if you haven't registered yet, now is the time. Early registration is critical.

Never applied before? Here's exactly how to start.

Applying for ODP services can feel overwhelming the first time. Here's the real process, broken into four clear steps — so you know exactly what to expect.

1
Confirm Eligibility

Your loved one must be a PA resident with a diagnosed intellectual disability, developmental disability, or autism, and require support to live and participate in the community. Gather documentation: psychological evaluations with IQ testing, adaptive behavior assessments (such as the Vineland), medical records, and any IEPs or transition plans.

2
Contact Your County Office

For adults, reach out to your local County MH/ID Office to begin intake. For children, start with your county's Early Intervention program or the Bureau of Autism Services if autism-specific support is needed.

3
Complete Evaluation & Determination

The county office reviews your documentation and may schedule additional assessments. Once approved, you'll receive a list of Supports Coordination Organizations (SCOs) to choose from. Waiting lists exist — the earlier you register, the better your position.

4
Choose Your Supports Coordinator — Then Choose Bee Infinite

Your Supports Coordinator helps identify the right waiver, builds your Individual Support Plan (ISP), and connects you with providers. When it's time to choose a provider for Home & Community Support or Companion Services, simply request Bee Infinite LLC by name.

Tip: Waiting lists exist for all three ODP waivers. Registering with your county office as early as possible — even before you're sure which waiver fits — puts your family in the best position.

Switching to Bee Infinite is simpler than you think.

Federal law protects your right to choose your own home care provider. If you're on an ODP waiver and want better care, here's all it takes.

1
Call Bee Infinite

Reach out to us first. We'll confirm we can serve your area and walk you through the process at no obligation.

2
Tell Your Supports Coordinator

The participant (or authorized representative) contacts their Supports Coordinator and requests a transfer to Bee Infinite LLC.

3
SC Submits a Referral

Your Supports Coordinator submits the referral. No lengthy paperwork on your end — this is a standard process they handle regularly.

4
Welcome to Bee Infinite 🐝

We take it from there — introducing your care team, building your care plan, and showing you the Bee Infinite difference.

Important: Only the participant receiving services — or their legal authorized representative (such as a Power of Attorney) — can request the switch. No agency can do this for you, and you should be cautious of any agency that claims otherwise. Bee Infinite will never pressure you — we simply make it easy when you're ready.
